Yes, it is interesting to see New Flyers on routes that I knew as 100% artic routes. I certainly did a double take when an unexpected New Flyer appeared at Plymouth Meeting Mall, running on the 27. Posted Image I've heard reports today that there were 40fters on both the 48 and the 33 - what's up with that? I also saw 5920 at Somerset Station on Thursday, properly running on the 54. I'm sure the 5900s are handing the hills a lot better than the artics did. The 27 must be a swifter ride with these New Flyers. Hopefully, this doesn't mean that artics will only run on the 27 during the rush; that would likely greatly lower my chances of riding an artic on this route. Which would be strange. Oh well, so much for knowing when a 27 is coming just by looking at the type of bus! |
