Well from looking at these units in person myself, these units does look longer then 40 foot! look at the back section of the bus! Its more notable from the left side! The change in length is more apparent viewing this bus from the left. BTW, the extra 1 foot for a standard is mainly for units with the Cummins ISM added. I don't know the criteria for the hybrids though.. BTW you've mentioned that the extra foot or 7 inches is only available on the restyle buses. Well HSR operates the DE41LF and these units are in the standard design, not the redesign. http://ca.geocities.com/hsrbuses@rogers.com/DE41LF.html Posted Image compared those units Posted Image Now compare it to the older hybrids Posted Image In conclusion, the rear of the bus on the HSR DE41LF looks similar to that on the 08' hybrids.
