Some questions about the the SEPTA fleet to ponder.............
1] Why are the destination signs on the NABI's do not have "Tri-State Mall" and the 115 extension to the Airport programmed? The NABI's either go blank or in the case of the 113, it says "Marcus Hook". One NABI had a "Chester via Darby" on its destination as the bus arrived at Tri-State Mall this afternoon.
2] Why is "Tri-State Mall" misspelled on the side destination signs on the Flyers?
3] Why is there a FLIP-DOT sign on the rear of 5601H instead of a LED sign?
4] Why do the automated announcement still mention the 12 at 23rd and Chestnut? The 12 hasn't ran by that intersection in the last decade.
5] I noticed that some BSS cars has the announcement systems and the OLD door chimes. Why doesn't SEPTA get rid of the Asian-sounding "Doors Closing" announcement, and restore the old door chimes [BTW, how about adding those chimes to the MFSE?].
Well to answer #1 and #2 it appears SEPTA has a few lazy programmers doing the reprogramming of the designation signs. I can understand about now getting the voice announcements programmed in, but the lazy programming of the designations needs to be fixed. I also noticed that the new 115 isn't programmed into the controller either, I guess SEPTA doesn't want to deal with the aged buses of the fleet.
