Im guessing DART will not be getting frameless windows on this order. Anyway will you get a photo of the 40fts any time soon? And how long does DART usually take to put new buses on the street after they start to arrive? |

Gillig is the only major bus company that has yet to update their design. New Flyer has the LFR's Orion has the VII next generation Nabi has their BRT's and new designs for Las Vegas/NJ Transit |

I do agree that Gillig does need to update the design for the Advantage. Some TAs have decided to use the Gillig BRT as a restyled Advantage which sometimes is okay and sometimes not. Since the front end cap is kinda long inbetween the windshield and the front door. |

Some of the new buses are being used on Saturdays. I saw 6 more new buses today at the bus yard. They are # 221-222-223-224-225 and 226. Some of new buses don't have tags. They will put the License Tags on soon. Geraldo G. |

Those Buses had ISL/Voith Engine. Right now, DART had 40 buses are already in the bus yard. 8 more buses is still on there way, They not use those buses yet beacuse they need to put a radio system and a farebox. some of those buses are already use. Geraldo G. B) |

Im glad DART decided to go to Voith rather then stick with Allison. It seems Voith is phasing out Allison these days when it comes to Cummins engines. To me the ISL/Voith DIWA 864.3 is better then ISL/Allison B400R. So basically the 08s sound like the 06s except with a whining sound. CAT of Harrisburgs 05 Gilligs came with ISL/B400R and the 07 Gilligs have ISL/DIWA 864.3 So I wonder if DARTs operators will get used to push button gear selectors instead of the electronic gear pad. BTW. Does DART use new radios and fare boxes or do they take them off of buses being retired from service? And how many 30fts is DART suppose to get? I know they are getting 48 40fts from Gillig so far. |
