Really this section of the site was setup to report things out of the ordinary. Unless the bus were to be overhauled and was not recorded on the site and/or this bus was operating out on another depot routes. For example seeing a Artic on the route 14; this would be acceptable for now, but one year later its a common sighting!! Seeing a 8000 series on the route 37 is a normal assignment, just like seeing a NABI/New Flyer on the 119. What would be considered unusual for example would be a Eldorado on the 104, 105, 109. NABI on the route 109. Their what you would call pretty unusual assignments, but if you are not familiar with the buses being used on those lines then its best not to report it! I live near the route G and have often times seen posts on this site stating that a 8000 series is operating on the G. Now what would be a interesting sighting would be 8099 spotted on the G. Which so far i never seen 8099 on any other route besides the 17!! These are just examples not intended for any type of pun. The older members who has been posting since 2001 generally knows what qualifies for a daily sightings post. Sorry if I've never explained it before! You guys so far has done an awesome job with the sightings! |

For scheduled shutdowns its Southern but in case of a emergency, the street supervisor on site (and in the pecking orders, LRO trumps BUS) has the authority to call ANY available City Division pull-in and press him or her into shuttle service, but for the sake of speed, supervisors normally focus on Southern and Callowhill. |

Today I was on the 59 with 819 and around Levick St. the back doors would not close the green light kept flashing but then the driver got them to close by using the panel behind the stop requested sign but something kept beeping and on the panel near the steering wheel it said that the back doors were still open |

Ok the switch must have started between Comly and Alleghany. Today I had 5489 on the 65 block 5211 (an Alleghany block). Caught the bus around 2:30 and the bus returned to Germantown on the 2:48 from 69th Street. Alleghany's days as all artic are dwindling. Posted Image Edited by rider65, Jun 30 2008, 05:14 PM.

Those bastards better treat my babies right!!!!! Incidentally......is it me, or do I think that since they ARE serious about putting Allegheny's Beloved Snakes on the 14, that schedule is going to get hacked up? |

WHERE???????? I know the MFSE and the R3 codes are right near each other because there was a Comly bum who used to do the MFO regularly and couldn't figure out why people came up to him and asked what bus is this (This is when I was still at the pit of hell living in Berwyn) and he always had a attitude. It gotten so bad that he even went off on a blind guy who was trying to get home. I reported his sorry ass after that incident. Oh and transitfreak, I agree with you completely. Give Comly 15 from the 'Vale, they get 7109-7120, 7138, 7180, 7186, and 7203 from Allegheny and they take 20 5600s (what? Replace beasts with six wheeled rockets.......what's wrong with that?) Now Allegheny have to change their motto again: "There Can Be Only One....." |
