Problems with the rain at the West Terminal of 69th St. this afternoon. A sewer was clogged in the lane where buses (107, 109, 110, 111) normally board and depart from in the center platform. We had to board buses where they usually arrive and unload. We then got to ride around the loop and leave where the 101 and 102 usually arrive. There was a tank truck with a hose trying to clear the mess. The lane was flooded completely. This was around 3:30.

Yes 69th St. is looking quite spiffy. This in preparation for tomorrow's 100th anniversary celebration. This afternoon they had posters showing various history hanging in the windows of many of the empty shops. Was told the 100 will have a 10 minute headway tomorrow between 11-4 with free rides.

I saw 5057 on the route 30 at 69th street today. The designation sign was extremely clear!! I assume this NABI will not be one of the ones facing replacement this year. As matter as fact, It seems to be in pretty good shape as well.

I've seen 5057 many of times & you are the firs tpersion to make mention of 5057 & the clear destination sign it has. I really didn't think it made much a difference to anyone.

I hope they keep 5052. I think 5052 has the tinted windows. -_-

Callowhill is not training on the one or two hybrids that are there from southern the shop is gathering info on different routes for bus dept. The instructors are saying that the new buses will be configured the same as the rest of newflyer fleet in operators compartment to avoid costly training of every one. I find that hard to beleive but then again septa has done stranger things the 5400 have a turning radius like no other flyer in the fleet and thats why the 5807-5820 look so beat up most from misjudging turns.

What about the 55xx series New Flyers? which routes do you usually drive on?

Is the turning radius better or worst on the 04 flyers versus 01' flyers?

Was in Harrisburg today, only CAT operated bus type I saw were Gillig Advantages. They did sound good with their ISL's, not sure of the transmission. I think it might be Voith because it sounded nothing like Septa's ZF or Allisons.

Was in H'burg Tuesday. Saw a number of El D's and 3 RTS's (still hanging on) in addition to the wealth of Gillig LF's.

Saw a Midvale NABI (think it was 5184 but can't recall for sure) on 32 on Monday with an entirely white dash below the windshield. Guess it was repaired and got out of the shop before the decals were applied. Interesting look... The bike rack was intact though.

5194 @ Oxford & Loney. Fresh, no ads.

Is the trend toward no more ads except for wraps? I've noticed an increasing number of buses without ads. In many ways I like it. I've never liked the wraps - no matter what they do, anytime the windows get covered, the view from inside gets obscured to some degree.
