Looks like the first nabi hits the bricks at callowhill 5004 being used for parts looks like missing door #2 front missing compartment door right side. If these new buses are as slow as they say they are I will hate to see the nabi's go.
5004 bit the dust? If anything, I expected the eldest of the Midvale NABIs(5159-5175) to bite the dust first, as well as any of the 5100s assigned to Red Arrow. Are 5134, 5136 & 5138 still around?

SHH!! CA, we only have 9 of these units on the property!! The Midvale NABIS could be the first ones to bite the dust.

Indeed. I forgot to mention that in my post. Most likely today was swapout day for the set to go to Frazer for maintenance.

DISCLAIMER: The photos aren't quite clear because I was working with a drop of battery power and couldn't set up/adjust the shots the way I needed to. I learned my lesson, and the battery is charging right now! :)

I was missing NJT and their Metro Bs, so I decided to take ride across the bridge on one of these beloved vehicles. On the 403, I got 3163...that number didn't sound familiar. I'm guessing it's a newer addition to Washington Twp, because that was the best sounding Flx Bs and one of the best performing Flx Bs I've ridden in quite a while!

Once in Camden, I saw 3021 on the 406...switching buses again? Here's a picture of 3021:

I wish these buses could go on for years to come - buses these days are too bland/boring.

Speaking of bland buses, before I hopped aboard 3163, I saw one of SEPTA's brand new hybrids rolling down the street:

As bland as they are, they do have some slightly interesting points to them:

1) They are the quietest hybrids out there - the engine is barely audible as it pulls away from the curb.

2) They have roof a/c

3) They don't have an H after the number, which is why I dub them "The H-lesses"

4) The Luminator (?) destination signs keep flashing on and off (at least on this bus). I say Luminator because IIRC the signs WMATA used to replace the Flip Dots and Flip LEDots in their Orion Vs do the same thing, as do their New Flyer CNGs. I'm less than thrilled with the sign choice, though, as it was just too dark for the time of day!

So, while I decided to wait for my bus back to suburbia (which was extremely late and/or didn't show up) I found something that people said wouldn't be found in Philadelphia:

Yes, that bus IS in service, IN Philadelphia (the PROFF is in Drexel advertising and the bridge and the Lucy stop). This bus was #DD025, and was leaving on the last bus out - the 8:35 (?) departure.

Saw Silverliner IIs on the R6 heading to N-town, but in an effort to save money, I just took the bus home...

Tis all! Thanks, and sorry about the quality of the pics![/i]

I think it is safe to say the Southern DOES HAVE THE 108 BACK.

Blk 7001 had 8000

Blk 7002 had 8057

Blk 7004 had 8079

Also saw 5834H on the 108. First hybrid on the 108 in 3 years!!
