I may still catch NJT if its a Flxible Metro operating. To make that a third Bmore MTA model ridden elsewhere. So far I only rode New Flyers, and NABIs in more then just Baltimore. New Flyers in Reading and Philly. And NABI 416s in Philly and Wilmington DE. BTW. Is Fairview garage in the Trenton area? Also is there any word on when the rest of the first NABI delivery will arrive to NJT?

Fairview is Jersey City/Newark/NYC. Go over to Bustalk and ask over there since most of those guys are from the NYC area (just be mindful of the 8 way bash war going on right now.) South Jersey will be the first ones to get them, October tenative. Edited by redarrow5591, Jul 27 2008, 04:13 PM.

Fairview is in Bergen County, on Anderson Ave [which becomes Bergenline Ave when it crosses the Bergen/Hudson county line at 91st St and Bergenline Ave] In Fairview, NJ. The routes that run out of Fairview are the routes between NYC and Ft.Lee, Englewood Cliffs, Cliffside Park, and those towns directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan. You can throw in the Hudson County towns of North Bergen, Guttenberg, West New York, and a large chunk of Union City, and Weekhawken. All of those towns mentioned are directly across from Manhattan. Use either Mapquest or Google Earth to find these towns. |

If I ran NJT I would have gone right ahead to rebid for 40fts after the RTS was discontinued and possibly NABIs would be on the NJT fleet starting in 2004. As for the Flxibles. The 93s would be Metro D40102. And the 94-95s would be Metro E40102 with Series 50. The RTSs from 97-00 and 02 would have the wide front door. As well as a DDC Series 50 engine and Allison Transmission. Probably V731 until its discontinued then B400R afterwards. The NABIs from 04 would be Series 50/B400R. 05 CATC9/B400R. And orders following that. Unless the C9 did not work out. If so then the 06s would be first to have Cummins ISM. B400R in 06 and Voith DIWA 864.3 in 07 and 08. And so on. |
