Well today with the well over 100K expected people who expected to attend the parade. Its been a mess - 69th street terminal for the first time saw tons of crowds trying to get on the EL shuttle. Crews rushed to get equipment on the Routes 100-102 to operate as a double consist versus the normal weekday one consist. Regional Rail service was canceled for 90 minutes for crews to place the right equipment down in center city to meet the demand of the parade.

From my observation, the route G was fully loaded from Overbook station so everyone who was trying to caught the G past Overbook station had a long long wait. The 44, the same thing, although SEPTA did managed to get a bus operating on the route 52 to change into the 44. Not the mention the issues, the route 100 operated on single tracks throughout segments of the route.

Maloney said SEPTA was trying to run the trains on a printed schedule. "But once you get past an hour late, it doesn't really matter any more."

Well when there's 100K people trying to get into the city, running on a schedule should never be a option.

many trips on the 27 never left Plymouth MTG mall. There were alot of disappointed Phillies fans there, but they decided to take the L bus and then the BSL!
Today was fun, and Many schools, including mine was closed!

I was there it was awesome! Rode the C to Center City, was slow as hell. Packed with fans. Coming back we (mom, bro, and I) waited for the C, never showed up, so we took the BSL from Spring Garden (got free transfers!), then the 6 to Cheltenham/Ogontz and drove home from there.

My school was open for a half day (Springfield Township High), but I didn't go. My bro did, he had a test.

This was bull my school had a full day. I left at 9:20AM and took the local southbound to City Hall. With plenty of time to kill i went to 15th and street station and waited for a 9110, 9051 either one to show up. None came so I hoped on the next trolley 9000 and rode it to 40th st to take a snap.

I got a trolley going back into center city and stopped at 30th street station and walked over to the Regional Rail station to look for 269. No luck so I took the train to suburban and found out that the Silverliner V mock up dissapeared :o . Went up and out side and found nothing but red. After alot of rushing and walking around i managed to get into RACE-VINE station. and take the train south bound to Pattison. Our local had to skip the crowd at Walnut locust. Got to Pattison and waited 3 hours for the floats to come by.

I got as close as 3 feet to the parade floats.

Your original post said something about route S, and I remember that the bus announced ..S,C,H,XH & 22 Than... What was route S? Was it the 80,22, an Old Route that Served this Area, or just an error in the program with no story?

We most likely passed eachother. Either at Suburban or at Race-Vine.

I saw redarrow at City Hall as I was getting on the northbound train. I was waving to ya from inside the train, dude. You were just staring at the car. Stop wearing your SEPTA shirt! You're too easily noticed!

Route S is now known as the 18.
