I noticed that someone listed New Flyer #5699 as a Callowhill District Bus. It's still assigned to Midvale District. Sometimes Midvale Buses will appear at other districts in the system because Midvale is the hub for most of the bus service calls (e.g. All four service trucks and both wreckers are assigned to Midvale) Midvale will occasionally get the service call even though the bus with the original problem is from another district. Then a mechanic from Midvale (most of the time) will drive one of their buses on the service call with or without the wrecker coming along. The oprerator from the other district will drive Midvale's bus and the original problem bus will spend some time at Midvale until the shop personnel at both districts can arrange a bus exchange. So Midvale does this as a short term loanout? So in the same notation, is Frankford Allegheny's backup Newflyer hub, given the sightings of 5792 and 5764 on the 27?

I, et al has spotted 5699 on Callowhill routes for an extended period of time. What you say may be true, but generally if a bus is assigned to another depot over an week. This switch will show up on the current assignments page. We tried to be annul as possible when it comes to the assignments page and as we cited, "it will never be 100% accurate". Yes 5699 is supposedly a Midvale bus, yet it's on loan to Callowhill! To be honest with you, I whether be wrong in the assignments department on there then post misinformation about scrapings of buses which by the way were spotted on operation on routes that very same day!! So basically, all them ISL/B400 buses at FTC were just short term loan :( i'll never see one on the 66 then :'( But that may change soon with the whole issue at Gregg Street and the "huge" supply of buses at frankford |
