Suburban Station DO have Central Heating.
No, it is a Central Baking system via roof duct.
The area where the AEM7's rest can get up to 97 degrees! I was there with a thermometer.

Speaking of A/C's and trying to keep cool, 69th street terminal atrium has a huge ceiling fan on the ceiling. It's the biggest I've ever seen!

Suburban Station DO have Central Heating via roof ducts. I remember seeing them install it during construction. However during the summer, all it does is blows air around. Period.

As for the MFSE, you're going to run into ceiling clearance issues because those stations are just that tight. I think both 13th and Juniper have ducts, but their units don't work at all.
ok im confused.... im not trying to be a dick but, your how old again to remember suburban stations construction???

Lights in Spring Garden have been dimmed in the closed off section. As posted before the BSL diesel LM2 has been moved to the east end on the reading connection track possibly to pull the 3 flat bed cars in from delivery.

Small update: The LM2 was moved. The old track vac and the black and orange tanker is now on the reading connection track. Possibly to be moved.

Is it on the tail end, under the BSL turnstiles/walkway?

During my days of riding the BSL north & south. North Philadelphia was a horrible and bizzare station to be at now it is actually pretty decent.

-3 days ago on the north bound platoform at North Philadelphia Station the coloumns on the Glenwood ave half were painted a teal greyish color.

-The day after that, the columns on the lehigh half were painted in the the teal grayish color and the columns on the glenwood ave side were repainted (spray painted this time now!) back to the original colors they had before.

-Today, I find that every 3rd column on the lehigh ave side that was painted teal-grey were repainted back to red agian.

All in all, good thing about this is that half of the staion now has our school colors! :P

I don't know what on earth is going on but the crew has better find a good color scheme, or paint the rest in our school colors!

Here is a picture of some of the contruction in the Fern Rock car yard. If you noticed the historic fleet was moved up to! It surprising how far it moved after twenty something years of rotting and rusting on those axles and wheels!

Here are 2 pictures from before the contruction even started.

Off topic: On that last pic, That's the Spur, why does it have green lights instead of Ember, they have a swtich that still can display the Fern Rock/8th-Market signage, instead of having the green light-Fern Rock/Walnut diagram. And on Saturdays, some of the Spur drivers have the Olney/8th-Market diagram! That's on Saturdays, not weekdays.

More ties have been delivered. Enough to make a wall on the south east end of the Fern Rock yard.

Especially at Suburban station!!
That was the most humid station Ive been to within the SEPTA MF line. Maybe even the BSL. The 2nd street station can be humid but at least before the gate on the Westbound side theres a good opening to the street level. Then 8th street the enterance to the Gallery is right by the station. Not having AC is worse then the AC crapping out. Since if the AC craps out its only a short amount of time until a tech can come and repair the AC. Not having AC you gotta find other ways to keep cool. If the stations have a heating system all they have to do is replace that with a heating/AC unit and possibly install a heat pump outside the station. And since theres no windows they cant install window units in the stations like with Philadelphias City Hall. I can tell from looking at the building theres no central AC in that building since every window has a Air Conditioner installed. So they use window units for the offices and the hallways are more likely humid.
I'm a little slow here, but Suburban Station and MFL does not belong in the same sentence. Suburban Station serves the Regional Rail, not the MFL.

Does SEPTA have heating in the underground stations? I know the MF line stations and the BSL stations do not have AC as it happens to be hotter in the stations then on the street level. Baltimores Metro system isnt as hot in the stations as with SEPTAs subways. And I dont think the DC Metro is as hot either. But the DC Metro was built in the 70s and the Baltimore Metro in the 80s. And AC probably wasnt invented in 1907 or 1928. And the PATCO I dont think is Air Conditioned either. But that was built in 69 and I dont think AC was affordable for middle class residents or even affordable in commercial buildings. But now days most newer buildings have a Central AC system. Being in a SEPTA underground station in the summer time is probably worse then being on a transit bus with no AC. Especially one where the windows dont open.
There is no heating in the MFL or orange line public areas, with the exception of 69th st and FTC. In the other stations, The bathrooms, porter closets, storage, and cashier's booths are heated. The cashier's booths have AC.

Some stations have offices, lunch rooms, etc. These are heated and air conditioned. The signal towers have heat and ac as well.

They installed new AC at 69th street as well as a huge ceiling fan that is actually named like it looks http://www.bigassfans.com/
