SEPTA has a RSS feed for their Bus Detour list that gets updated every 20 minutes, and every so often something so stupid comes through that just makes you sctratch your head why. This is one if them:

Not quite. The 55 turns right on 65th Ave. In essence, we are missing 1 bus stop with this detour. |

You're right B.... My bad. I just haven't been up that way in quite some time. And its two stops: Old York-65th SW corner, and Broad-65th SE corner. |

Looks like the 15 gets bused for a few days. I hope they got this one right. Route 15 Bus Substitution Saturday, June 6 at 12:01 a.m. until Monday, June 8 at 12:01 a.m. Due to construction work, shuttle buses will substitute for Route 15 trolley service between Richmond & Westmoreland Streets and 63rd & Girard Avenue. |

This is one hell of a detour:
The one for the 27 was actually correct:

SEPTA needs a proof reader on those detour notices. I've corrected them on several errors a few times. |

Yeah the 65 was a mess around 4:00. Waited 45 minutes for a bus to 69th St. at 63/Malvern. Block 9609 (8159) finally came a half hour late and the driver told us about the water main break He said he only got through because he took a couple small side streets. Said Ridge Ave was in bad shape. Much to our driver and my surprise SEPTA pulled three extra buses out of Callowhill to keep service running from 69th St. on time. Block numbers were 9681, 9682, and 9685. |

Are they trying to kill someone!!!
Its difficult enough just to make a left turn from Tulpehocken East to Germantown North; I would never try it turning right, because that corner is notorious for people parking in the crosswalk, and you'd have enough of a time trying to make the turn without someone blowing through that light at 60 MPH (both Washington and Tulpehocken is notorious for Red Light Runners.) |

I love the Germantown High Speed Line (better known as the 65), but this is one of those days that even I would avoid it:
