does the 3 have two berths? If it does I guess they could fit 72 in there.
Nice! it can always start at pratt street. I think the 72 should loop around Cedarbrook mall like the 18. Enter on Easton, leave on Easton.

Just out of bored I created this map of the 72.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=114237503772696752126.00046de3ebe9a36ee5095

I just believe the 72 will enter at the entrance at E Mount Airy ave.

If the 72 is assigned to Midvale, this will be the second route that Midvale has that only connects with the Market Frankford Line.

The 89 is the other route that connects with the Market Frankford Line alone.

I would also take the 47 & 57 into consideration. However, the 47 connects with the Broad Ridge Spur @ 8th & Market. The 57 has more trips running from Rising Sun & Olney(as opposed to 10th & Nedro) to Whitman Plaza.

The 2 runs parallel to the Broad Street Line & it connects with the MFL within the 15th & Market area.

The North Philly routes assigned to Midvale(C, 2, 23, 32, 47, 57, & 61), as well as the 26 & 56 connect with B O T H the
Market Frankford & Broad Street Lines.

The 89(& the 72) connect with the MFL & ONLY the MFL.

It does make sense and thats why route 72 would be at Midvale.

All of this talk regarding Route 72 is moot right now.

According to the agenda for next week's SEPTA Board meeting:

"Although the hearing examiner recommended adoption of the proposed route (which SEPTA designated as Route 72), on June 26, 2009 staff withdrew the proposal in order to obtain public input."

Um, wasn't that the point of the Annual Service Plan hearings?

Yeah, I think they are revising the routing and service times a bit, then will present it again to the public.
