Now that the restoration of ex-Philly PCC 2168 is so near completion
(almost near enough to set a date, but not quite), The Friends of
Philadelphia Trolleys and The Baltimore Streetcar Museum have found that
one glaring, important piece is still missing --- a PTC style Grant
Money Meter farebox. You remember them,,,,those big old ugly green
things with the bar the operator pushed down and the coins clanked into
the locked vault.

Does anyone have one they would be would be willing to donate or sell to
either FPT or BSM? Both groups are IRS 501(c)(3) and your donation
would certainly be a tax deductible item.

BSM has one of the boxes but it was desecrated and modified after it
left PTC, is in horrible shape, and is almost unrepairable. BSM also
has a more modern SEPTA era farebox they would be willing to trade for a
Grant Money Meter.

If you could help, please contact Harry Donahue at HAD2709@aol.com, or
John Engleman at PCCSTREETCAR@webtv.net.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

John
