Today at the Bryn Mawr Station on every train that's the Bryn Mawr Local train, I noticed that once all the passenger has left the train, the conductor that is at standing outside putting the train's foldable floor (for high level platform) down, she pressed the button (located behind in the position that's behind foldable floor in folded up position) as she puts the foldable floor down before the door close. But if the conductor was to begin a new trip for its scheduled service, how they get open door from exterior? Secret keys, buttons that's near the door but positioned in a secret location like under or so? I wonder how those door operation works. |

The doors on the S-IV's are automatic. Once a trap is up on a car the door is bypassed so it won't try to close on its own; it can still get a trainline command to close and then remember it until the trap is lowered. What you saw was the traps closing and the doors doing its thing. There are two covered keyholes near the #1 and #4 doors (or is it 2 and 3 - I forget) which operates that door only, however because the trap locks are fairly far inboard, you're climbing in. |

How do they open the doors from exterior when try to enter the train with the door closed and the trapdoor is in down position? |

Open door via key switch, then climb up. Usually the train end door is unlocked and you can just climb up the coupler. |

The key switch that's can be open from exterior is located somewhere near the doors on the train. |

Well it would be moot if it was on the other end of the car and controls the opposing door on the other side. |
