Does DART ever use the recently purchased Gillig BRT #149+#150models? If so what route do they usually operate on?

I believe the BRTs were specifically purchased for the 301. Look out for them on that route.

301 is the route which goes from Wilmington to Dover. I don't think they will place anything that isn't a commuter bus on that route. Almost ridden on #909 when I was down there.

I would hope that 149 and 150 are specially equipped for the 301 inter-county route.

Me too, there's a lot of people who ride on that route who has luggage to carry on board. That's why I hope if anything else were to run on the route, it would be commuter based, not transit based. but these are BRT buses, so who knows they could be fit to be used on the route.

Why, pray tell, are they carrying luggage on board? The 301 doesn't really make for a good intercity line.

You can practically turn a transit bus into a motorcoach, sans the underfloor luggage bays. Here's an idea with Translink's Orion Vs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NyrG1TMHv8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agXUjihADOw
