On my usual commute home from work today, I had the displeasure of seeing and riding some of NJT's dying POS Flxibles. First, I saw 1872 that looks like and sounded like hell. That bus wheezed down Market St in Philly, and it looks worse for wear. The paint was peeling, and you saw a lot of what seems to be rust spots on the body.

Then I rode 3045 on the 403. That piss-poor bus was a total piece of crap. Virtually all of the windows except one was scratched to the point you cannot see well out of them. Then the ride was quite rough, and the best was yet to come! The driver had to SHUT OFF THE WEAK-ASSED AC TO CLIMB ON THE BEN FRANKLIN BRIDGE, AND THAT WASN'T ENOUGH TO GIVE THE BUS ENOUGH POWER. The traffic blew by the bus, and even an MCI on the 406 had to go around the slow-assed bus. That Flx wheezed all the way into Camden when the driver restarted the AC [that was no good!] and we wheezed down White Horse Pike until I got off in Collingswood.

That brings me to my next question:

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET OUR FRIGGIN NABI'S IN SERVICE DOWN SOUTH?

THOSE DAMN FLXIBES CANNOT LAST ANOTHER DAY!

Do you get Flx Bs in the morning too? They seem to be hard to find during the morning hours.

I take PATCO in the morning because the 403 bus is too slow and I miss the connection to the R5 in the morning.
