I drive my car down to Sharon Hill today to ride the 102 shuttle. Plenty of supervisors (SEPTA Ambassadors) and the best buses in the fleet. I rode 8208 & 8200 and saw 8204 in the mix. The drivers kept the schedules well, despite the small streets and tight turns. Our driver on the way to Drexel Hill Junction even had to walk a blind man off the bus to his transfer stop with a 109 on Baltimore Pike. They had a trolley waiting for us on the outbound track at DHJ. He took the switch to the inbound track and we proceeded to 69th St. On the way back, the trolley dropped us off and I rode 8200, to Sharon Hill, the operator called out all the stops. For the first day, I'd say things went quite well. At almost every intersection we passed over the Rte. 102 trolley tracks, there were crews working on the rails. |
