Hopefully they will have it this time. Last time I was going to get the independence pass they didnt have any available so I got stuck with the inconvenience pass. I hope I dont have to get that this time.

I bought my independence pass yesterday and only one person punched it and that was the date...so as long as I come to Philadelphia on the 30th of each month, I save $10 :P

30th street station didnt sell it when I was last in Philly. But either the attendant didnt bring any into the station. Or they werent delivered to the station. If I get stuck with 1 more inconvenience pass when I ask for an independence pass I may consider filing a complaint to the SEPTA reguarding that. Now if I ran SEPTA. The Independence pass would be sold on buses as well. And the fare boxes. They would be the same as DARTs new fare boxes. And the fare gates and fare machines would be the same as PATCOs fare gates and machines. And the inconvenience pass. It would never have been introduced.

For the drivers safety I would not have them sold on buses.

If SEPTA had a more up to date fare system. Like the Gen Fare Odyssey fare boxes. The passes would all be stored inside the fare box and would be sold after the money is deposited into the fare box then the date would be printed on the pass before its ejected from the fare box. Baltimore MTA sells their day passes on buses. And once the $3.50 is deposited into the fare box it automatically prints out a day pass and it can be taken from the top of the box.

I have an out of town friend coming on a Saturday who want's to ride all day. So where is a guaranteed place we can buy an Independence Pass, since you say they don't sell them at FRTC?

Thanks.

One place would be the 8th street ticket office. It has a sign stating that the Independence pass is sold there. 30th street station is suppose to have it but they never do.

Olney Terminal, FTC (not FRTC) and the Center City RRD stations.

Although the Transit store is my fave.
