Is it true that BARTA had to retire 7 35ft 2008 Gillig BRTs and 11 40ft 2008 Gillig BRTs after they were shot at?

I did a quick Google search on "BARTA buses shot at" & came up with nothing other than a Wikipedia article (no source cited) which brings up that ?.

If someone were brazen enough to shoot at (AND hit) 18 BARTA buses, it would have crippled BARTA's operations severly & would certainly be a news story. Think about this-where other than the downtown Transportation Center or BARTA's garage would there even BE eighteen BARTA buses in the same place??

If 18 buses were shot at. Most likely they were repaired and returned to service. The same source shown 0549 as a loss from the accident in April. And look. 0549 is still on the Roster. Just had to go through some repair. And if they did lose 18 buses they would either have to ressurect the Orion Is and Gillig Phantoms until they are replaced. Or even purchase 18 used buses from another TA. Even if it were ex DART Gillig Phantoms.
