Suspect busted by bus

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - October 7, 2009 (WPVI) -- A man being pursued by police in North Philadelphia was busted by bus.
Shortly before 9:00 p.m, a man fled from police on a bicycle in the area of 18th Street and Susqehanna Avenue after being pursued on the suspicion of having a gun.
The man ended up heading headfirst into the windshield of a route 39 SEPTA bus.
Police say the man then tried to flee on foot, but was caught about a block and a half away along the 2200 block of North Bouvier Street. He was placed in custody and then transported to a local hospital to be evaluated and then turned over to police.
