The quotes about B.A. came from the "Minister of Mis-Information", Richard Baloney Maloney. So, take it with a grain of salt. The ariticle has also mentioned that other higher ups in SEPTA management have also favored it so...

Anyway, the perceived problem with BA is that it plays into the unions hand.

I would rather hear the truth from union members than the public personally.

"Truth" can be easily distorted. Until the press conference today, Brown gave several vague reasons for the walkout. Now, it's becuase "Nutter made me Cryyyy."

It boils down to this: Brown is holding the riding public hostage hostage for the lulz, and is making the union look like chumps. I can't wait for the dog and pony show on day 47, when he has no money from collections.
I will bet you and those who think this strike will be prolonged that it will end before next week or next week I know Rendell and Brady will come to the rescue they are our only hope in ending this and so everyone including our members who are in the union along with the other strikers and the riding public can get some peace of mind. I know myself, septafan, SouthernRida215 and the rest of PTV can finally move on with our lives until the next contract runs out.

I just drove by Frontier 25 minutes ago (11:25 PM) and found a group of union members hanging out in front of depot with the grill going. (By the way, it's shocking at first because you think something's on fire!) I didn't think people would be out this late since Frontier essentially closes. Plus, well, that section of Alan Wood Road isn't exactly the busiest thoroughfare at this time of the night either. Maybe it could have brought more visibility if the group went to Ridge Pike?

As much as I am against this strike, still mad that it happened, and don't believe the reasons for it are acceptable, it is somewhat heartwarming to see people out there standing up for their beliefs. Especially since I know they travel a long way to get out here, and they are sitting in the lonely dark suburban road being passed once in a blue moon by a suburbanite who barely knows what SEPTA is...

Even though the Phillies lost in the World Series I hope Rendell can hit a homerun that will put this strike to an end.

From a very reliable source......the UTU will be striking starting Nov. 22. The plan is to disrupt the start of holiday shopping at area malls. So they have two weeks to get things done.

My mind is fried...is this supposed to mean something good for SEPTA or is this doom for the Xmas season for SEPTA and shoppers?

You can save 15% or more on car insurance by switching to Geico. Also I start "Da Septa Connection" tonight with your host SouthernSeptaRida215

Bah! That's what they claim, but that's not what I discovered when I was shopping for auto insurance when I purchased my vehicle.

All I got to say is cross your fingers today that the talks go well today between Rendell and the union to end this strike we need all the luck we can get. I'm thinking positive that this can be ended today, tomorrow, this weekend or next week not for weeks or days as you are all thinking.
